Leading with Dedication and Experience

Sergeant Geoffrey R. Wiater is the current President of the Rochester Police Locust Club, the Union representing over 630 members of the Rochester Police Department. Elected in November 2023, Geoff has a long history with the Locust Club, having held the positions of Platoon Representative, Section Representative, House Chairman, Treasurer and Executive Vice President prior to being elected President. Geoff has over 31 years of service with the Rochester Police Department, holding the rank of Sergeant for the past 22 years. Geoff’s message is simple, putting “Cops First” and representing the hard-working members of this organization and their families. “There is no more honorable profession than being a police officer. We strive to represent their rights and benefits on a daily basis."
